Smits) Improvisation   Geerten Liefting was born in The Netherlands in 1983.  He studied organ, church music and improvisation at the Utrecht Conservatory with Reitze Smits. He also studied composition and choral conducting  at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp  with Wim Henderickx and Luc van Hove,  and at Codarts Rotterdam with Peter Jan Wagemans and Wiecher Mandemaker.
