Halifax Minster, for ten years the home of Halifax Organ Academy Having retired as a university vice-chancellor in 2009 and returned to his home county of Yorkshire, Professor David Baker became involved in the local organ scene, having been passionate about the organ since he was a boy. He found organ playing and teaching in a sorry state, and determined to do something about it.
