A life-changer for two young composers

Matthew Kelley Two young RCO members are carving out careers for themselves as composers, alongside their organ playing.  Both Matthew Kelley and Tammas Slater won in the junior category the BBC Proms Inspire Young Composers competition in 2015, and for both of them this has led to a series of commissions. Matthew's winning piece, Fantasia for Strings, was performed by the Aurora Orchestra under Nicholas Collon at a Proms Extra at the Royal College of Music.  His subsequent choral composition Alleluia, I Heard a Voice was the opening track on the cover CD with the BBC…
