In Michael Tippett's shorter choral music: some personal reflections, Nicholas Cleobury has distilled his work on, and with, Tippett over many years into an engaging commentary on some wonderful but often forgotten music.  Again and again we encounter in the works the spirit of pre-Handelian English music, and Cleobury identifies how the choral music relates to other works, including Tippett's operas and symphonies.
